Painted en plein air in August 2025 in Conway, Massachusetts using a paint scraper and palette knife. I love the glow of early evening in summer and I was particularly taken with the shining dead trees among the dark foliage behind the meadow. I made this painting over three evenings because the light conditions only lasted for a short while each night.
