I was intrigued to paint this old garage building on Main Street. I love the way white buildings glow in the sun, and trying to determine the color of their shadow sides. It was a hot June afternoon that I painted this and I think I succeeded in capturing the full force of the sun by layering up my warm whites on top of a yellow underpainting.
