I was enchanted by the autumn colors of the meadow foliage in Pumpkin Hollow against the bright greens of the fields and the long blue shadows encroaching. I painted this scene en plein air on a very windy afternoon (my entire box of pastels got knocked over….luckily after I’d finished painting). The meadow scene in this painting is conserved through the Franklin Land Trust.
