This is a very special woodblock print, created out of hope for the world and its plants and people.
An angel kneels to plant a sapling tree--an act of hope for a better world. I believe angels represent our higher nature, and the people we strive to be. I strive to be a more hopeful person, and to maintain hope for the planet's future in the face of negative environmental news. I created this image to remind myself of the positive and hopeful actions people can and do take every day to make the world better for its creatures. Each original print sold represents one tree planted in Western Massachusetts, through a donation I make to a local planting project that will take place in the spring of 2019.
Created with three layers of non-toxic ink and with handmade paper collaged accents. A limited edition set of ten original prints, created by hand. These are not reproductions. Each print will vary slightly.
